Good Food and Wine Show

30 May 2011

We had a fantastic time at the Good Food and Wine show over the weekend in Cape Town. Cavendish Square featured the Parlotones Wines as part of their wine tasting section in the VIP lounge. Cape Wine Master and great friend to us, Allan Mullins, did a radio interview and wine tasting live on Cape Talk. Visitors of the show also had an oppertunity to partake in a winetasting, with Allan gracefully guiding them through all the wines.
We had the privilage of seeing Jonathan Daddia from Masterchef Australia in action and had the chance to pose with him for a photograph.
We indeed had some good food and great wine!

How do you film Eben Sadie?  Actually, he’s a little bit like Chuck Norris…you don’t tell Eben how you’re going to film him, he tells you.  We got up 4am in order to start filming at 6am. He talks so much, that by about 10am my hard drive was full, and my CPU about to overheat.  This guy is a legend, and to sum up the one day of filming with Eben, one would need at least ten days of writing. You might have to wait a while for this film, as all that talking makes filming a dream, but editing a nightmare.  A film not to be missed.

Pieter Walser – on both sides of the camera.

We asked Pieter Walser what he thought of his Hands on Wine Rock Star film:
Making a film about myself was at the same time both easy and really challenging, as there’s no limitations to what you can do. Xaver and myself decided to travel back in time in order to produce a movie that looks like it was filmed over a period of ten years. We used some old footage, but most of the filming was shot in one (long) day. Here are some picture of the day. To view the finished product, have a look on Pieter’s page.
